Is it always Black & White?

Don't wear white after labor day, Don't mix metals ( gold, silver accessories), Don't wear black & brown together...some of the fashion "rules" we are supposed to follow..Clearly not everyone agrees. In debating certain things, I have been known to say, "there is no gray area, its either black or white". "Yes or No, there is no maybe". But is it really? I'm thinking gray could be a really good thing.. LR
